Lighting

We treat lighting as an essential design element—never an afterthought. From sculptural statement pieces to subtle architectural accents, we curate lighting that enhances atmosphere and complements form. Every fixture we select is chosen with intention. Materials, proportions, and placement are considered in context, creating a dialogue between light and interior.

Parentesi is a groundbreaking lighting design created by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù in 1971. This iconic lamp features a minimalistic yet innovative structure, with a vertical tension cable that allows the light source to be positioned anywhere along its length. The lamp’s simple design includes a small, movable light fixture suspended between two points—one anchored to the ceiling and the other attached to the floor, making it highly versatile. Parentesi is celebrated for its unique combination of functionality and elegance, offering both direct and adjustable lighting. Its ability to blend seamlessly into various interiors, from modern to industrial spaces, has made it a timeless design. The lamp is available in various finishes and has become a symbol of Flos’ commitment to cutting-edge design and technical innovation.

Toio Lamp

Designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1962, the Toio floor lamp is a study in contrast—raw yet elegant, playful yet precise. Its exposed mechanics, repurposed car headlight, and bold geometric lines make it an icon of modern lighting. Toio stands as both a sculptural object and a functional source of indirect light.
